‘Wave, Singing Sands Bay, Isle of Eigg’. Acrylic on 20×16″ canvas
‘Moonlit Sea, Isle of Eigg’. Mixed media on 20×16″ canvas
‘Seagull, Eigg Island’ Acrylic on 20×15″ canvas
The above are paintings completed so far for the upcoming exhibition (only 10 to go!)
‘Seagull’ is an experiment in a more simple style, I sense people may prefer the more detailed work, but this was enjoyable – just focusing on colour really
Also, this painting below is a private commission of Croy Beach, which was a nice change of scene!
‘On Croy Beach’ (Private commission, not for sale as original or print) Acrylic on 20×16″ canvas
I really enjoyed the Gallery Ten exhibition ‘WEST the west coast and beyond’ today. Beautifully curated by gallery owner Paul Musgrave – I thought the pieces went very well together.
I’ve added a images and links to the participating artists below. (two didn’t have links/websites though)
Thanks to Gallery Ten for putting together a really lovely show!
Moving on to canvas now – these are 20×16″. It feels strange not to be working on wood
I’m not quite sure where I’m going with these drips but I’m liking the effects which aren’t possible on a 5×5″ scale
The above paintings in progress are the first in a series to be included in the July exhibition at the Whitespace Gallery.
In the meantime, WEST; The West Coast and Beyond is showing this Saturday between 2 – 4pm, hope to see you there!
It’s going to be an interesting day, and afterwards the Leith Late festival will be featuring various exhibitions and live events..
