This is a series of small experimental works made in the winter of 2019, featuring semi-abstract views of Edinburgh. Works like these are not intended for galleries but are a way of playing with paint and ideas without any fixed outcome in mind. I think it is important for artists to do this from time to time; without it, the work risks becoming complacent.
