50 Paintings of Eigg in 50 Days – Online project, April to May 2014
The Eigg project began in April 2014 when I visited Eigg Island for the first time, to paint the island landscape and seek inspiration. I could have chosen any number of beautiful Scottish islands to do that, but I didn’t just want to paint landscape, I wanted to understand this unique and wonderful island. This year I painted a series called ’50 paintings of Eigg in 50 Days’ created between the 10th April to the 29th May. (You can view all 50 paintings Here – just scroll down to ’50 paintings in 50 days’)
For ’50 Paintings in 50 Days’ , I posted a painting every day with accompanying blog, which included interviews with islanders and features on Eigg’s culture, geography and way of life
